Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was Jan. 16. In addition to honoring the late Civil Rights icon, the holiday doubles as a national day of service. As King said, “Everyone can be great because everyone can serve.”

Service is a big part of the purpose of any fraternity, particularly Sigma Chi, which helps thousands every year through its work with the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Children’s Miracle Network. In addition, Sigma Chi brothers at chapters throughout the country perform numerous service projects throughout the year.

Do you have a particular service memory from your Phi Phi days? Maybe a particular mission project or volunteer effort that inspired you? If so, send us your stories by going to phiphi-sigmachi.org and we may use them in a future eLetter or newsletter.
