Griffin Rubin, Phi Phi 2017 was chosen to experience the Huntsman Horizons Program this summer. This six-day challenging leadership development program was specifically created for Sigma Chi underclassmen eager to engage both mind and body and willing to improve themselves and their world. Horizons participants learn how a person’s leadership is directly linked to his values and character; how to incorporate high-minded values into a lifelong practice of leadership; and how to discover and utilize his talents to reach his full potential. The program has been underwritten for the next 10 years by Jon M. Huntsman, ’59 via his generous gift of $5 million and includes a tour of the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Consul Tyler Roth, Phi Phi 2016 will lead a delegation of Phi Phi aspiring leaders to Bowling Green University to attend the annual Balfour Leadership Training Workshop. Since 1947, BLTW has been the premier fraternal leadership training workshop presented for undergraduate Sigma Chis across the continent. Participants work together as a chapter leadership team, learn valuable skills pertaining to officer-specific responsibilities, and meet nearly 2000 brothers from across North America. This year’s BLTW will take place July 30th, 31st and August 1st.
